Overview
A clear, personalized path from assessment to decision.
Spouses, common-law partners, and conjugal partners can be sponsored from inside or outside Canada. Inland applicants may qualify for an open work permit while the application is processed; outland applications are handled by a visa office abroad. The central issue in most files is proving the relationship is genuine and not entered into primarily for immigration purposes.
Who this is generally for
- A legal marriage, or at least twelve months of continuous cohabitation for common-law partners
- Sponsor meets sponsorship requirements and is not barred
- Both parties are admissible to Canada
- For inland applicants, valid or restorable temporary status in Canada
How we handle your file
- 1Choice of inland versus outland filing, with the trade-offs explained in writing
- 2Relationship evidence strategy: communication history, finances, photos, declarations
- 3Preparation of both the sponsorship and PR applications, plus an open work permit where applicable
- 4Support through procedural fairness letters or interviews if genuineness is questioned
